Flower Moon By Gina Linko
(January 2nd 2018 ~ Sky Pony Press)

“Maybe that was what growing up was, understanding where the real magic lived in this world. Inside our very own hearts.”

I really enjoyed Flower Moon by Gina Linko. The book tells the tale of twin sisters Tally Jo and Tempests as they near their 13th birthday. Tally Jo, the feisty and fearless sister, can feel something changing in her relationship with her sister, but she isn’t quite sure what it is. Soon, the girls have hit the road with their circus-performing family, only to discover that the distance growing between them is part of something bigger. Tempest is the scientific sister, and using a mix of magic and science, she rushes to find a way to keep her sister close while keeping those they love safe.

I liked this story because it features two independently strong female characters as they tried to find a way to build each other up while remaining true to themselves and their own interests. The twins made this story for me. It was a great read!
