🗡My first Ally Carter book and I loved it!
From the first page I couldn’t put it down. It’s a gripping action packed book. When Maddie and her father move to Alaska, after a tragedy in the White House while her father worked as head of the secret service, she leaves her life and best friend behind. With no connection to the outside world, Maddie learns about, and pretty much becomes an expert on survival skills. After six years, Logan drops in and Maddie isn’t sure what to do. She spent the first 2 years writing to him with no response. Maddie hates Logan and wants nothing to do with him. But when a strange man takes him and leaves her to die, a friendship from the past finds the strength to survive.
All the characters are pretty awesome! Maddie is my favorite. She’s a tough girly girl, fearless, and I found her sarcasm funny. The setting and details of the book, made me feel like I was actually there. I recommend this fantastic young adult book!
